In accordance with the standards established by the various accrediting agencies in Puerto Rico and the United States of America, the Peoples University of the Americas corroborates the same standards and regulations of evaluation for the conferral of Academic Degrees.

Requirements of an Academic Degree may encompass the following:

I – TRANSFERRED CREDITS:
Acceptable are only transcripts of credits obtained as a regular student of duly accredited higher education. Courses, which must be relevant to the student.s specific concentration and with a grade of C or better.

II – SEMINARS AND COURSES IN CONTINUING EDUCATION:

The following achievements are acceptable for credit according to certificates of attendance, successful completion and upon the written evaluation of authorized officers of the Peoples University of the Americas.

I – SPECIAL WORKS:
Acceptable are previous special works and experiences in related fields, which are officially certified, and upon the written evaluation and approval of an authorized officer of the Peoples University of the Americas.

II – INSTITUTIONAL SEMINARS AND/OR COURSES:
These are acceptable according to the attendance records and successful completion of Seminars and/or Courses within the Peoples University System in the areas required to fulfill the prerequisites for the Academic Degree to be granted.

III – PROJECTS THAT PROMOTE EXCELLENCE:
Acceptable is one or more of the following: scholarly dissertations, artistic works, original research projects, social activity project undertaken under the guidance of an assigned officer of the Peoples University of the Americas, or of an expert with a Doctoral Degree from another recognized Institution, or of a private practitioner approved by the Peoples University Accreditation Board.
